2. Edmonton: Youth is the future in Edmonton, Yakupov is the missing piece of the puzzle.

RW Nail YAKUPOV (5’10 – 170 lbs) Sarnia Sting - OHL

3. Anaheim: With Selanne and Koivu at the end of their career, Forsberg will bring a new European offense to the RPG(Ryan-Perry-Getzlaf) line.

LW Filip FORSBERG (6’0 – 176 lbs) Leksand - SEL

4. Carolina: With Jeff Skinner as the new franchise forward, Murray will fit perfectly in the near future alongside with Ryan Murphy as the franchise defensemen.

D Ryan MURRAY (6’0 – 185 lbs)  Everett Silvetips - WHL

5. Buffalo: Buffalo lacks of a defensive juggernaut. Dumba will bring size, offense and defense.

D Mathew DUMBA (6’0 – 166 lbs) Red Deer Rebels - WHL

6. NY Islanders: With their pipeline fill with offensive forwards, Trouba will make a great addition to their future as their elite defenseman.

D Jacob TROUBA (6’1 – 183 lbs) USA NTDP U17 - USHL

7. Tampa Bay: Despite his injury, Rielly’s skillset is indeniable and Tampa will rely on a great defenseman.

D Morgan RIELLY (6’0 – 190 lbs) Moose Jaw Warriors – WHL

8. Montreal: Future All Star NHLer, Galchenyuk will finally be what Montreal was searching for, for so long, a franchise centerman with an elite skillset.

C Alex GALCHENYUK (6’1 – 185 lbs) Sarnia Sting - OHL

9. Winnipeg: Big bulky centerman with an intrigue offensive upside will bring a great presence to the Winnipeg Jets.

C Brendan GAUNCE (6’2 – 205 lbs) Belleville Bulls - OHL

10. Phoenix: Despite being an underager at the WJC, Collberg was an offensive force for the Gold medal winning Sweden.

RW Sebastian COLLBERG (6’1 – 176 lbs) Frolunda - SEL

11. Calgary: With his father Paul playing his best hockey for the Flames back in the 80’s, Griffin will have the opportunity to shine in Calgary.

D Griffin REINHART (6’3 – 190 lbs) Edmonton Oil Kings - WHL

12. Dallas: Being very successful with Swedish players, Dallas gets a great talent from Sweden.

RW Pontus ÅBERG (5’11 – 183 lbs) Dujgarden - SEL

13. Washington: Arguably the most NHL ready prospect of the draft, Washington gets a really reliable defenseman with offensive flair.

D Cody CECI (6’2 – 203 lbs) Ottawa 67’s - OHL

14. Minnesota: Minnesota will really like this USHL product that brings size and grit to a great prospect pool with the Granlund, Coyle, Phillips and Brodin.

C Zemgus GIRGENSONS (6’1 – 182 lbs) Dubuque Fighting Saints - USHL

15. Toronto: Although not North American, Frk is a Brian Burke type of player, but unlike his past picks, Frk has an incredible offensive upside.

RW Martin FRK (6’0 – 198 lbs) Halifax Mooseheads - QMJHL

16. New Jersey: With Martin Brodeur on the fall and getting older each year, New Jersey picks the best goalie available of the OHL and the CHL.

G Malcolm SUBBAN (6’0 – 165 lbs) Belleville BUlls - OHL

17. Florida: With a tremendous prospect pool in offense, Florida gets the most underrated high-end defenseman of the draft. Skating is impeccable and flawless.

D Michael MATHESON (6’1 – 175 lbs) Dubuque Fighting Saints - USHL

18. Washington: Falling due to injury, Washington will be ecstatic with Koekkoek joining their defensive pool with Ceci.

D Slater KOEKKOEK (6’2 – 183 lbs) Peterborough Petes - OHL

19: Los Angeles: 4^th overall pick in 2007 Thomas Hickey seems to become a bust, Derrick Pouliot will gladly contribute to forget LA’s flop pick.

D Derrick POULIOT (5’11 – 192 lbs) Portland Winterhawks - WHL

20. Ottawa: Big centerman of the OHL reigning champion team will be an nice addition to Zibanejad and Puempel.

D Jarrod MAIDENS (6’2 – 170 lbs) Owen Sound Attack - OHL

21. Pittsburgh: Hertl used the WJC pretty well to make a name for himself. Big and rangy Czech prospect is rocking up the rankings.

C Tomas HERTL (6'0 - 187 lbs) HC Slavia Praha - Czech

22. San Jose: Since Evgeny Nabokov’s departure, San Jose’s missing his replacement and Vasilevski is exactly what the Sharks need.

G Andrei VASILESVKI (6'3 - 190 lbs) Tolpar Ufa - MHL

23. Philadelphia: With Kimonen getting older and Pronger’s career in jeopardy, the former 1^st overall CHL Import Draft pick will be the go to guy in Philly.

D Olli MÄÄTTÄ (6’2 – 192 lbs) London Knights – OHL

24. Chicago: With their surprise pick in Phillip Danault last year, Chicago will not want to pass on the QMJHL’s ROY and very Giroux-like player. Reminds a lot of Kane too.

LW Charles HUDON (5’8 – 165 lbs) Chicoutimi Saguenéens - QMJHL 

25. Nashville: Kerdiles adds offense to a very strong prospect pool in Nashville along with fellow American Austin Watson.

C Nicolas KERDILES (6’1 – 183 lbs) USA NTDP U17 - USHL

26. Vancouver: Being successful with Sweden, Samuelsson is the future for the Canucks offense.

RW Henrik SAMUELSSON (6’2 – 192 lbs) USA NTDP U17 - USHL

27. Boston: The big and bad Bruins won’t pass on Stefan Matteau, the son of Stéphane Matteau. Kid is going to continue with development next year in the Q, under his father’s coaching.

LW Stefan MATTEAU (6’1 – 207 lbs) USA NTDP U17 - USHL

28. St-Louis: Although Jaarmo Kekelainen gone, St. Louis will love to pick in their European pool a strong Swedish defenseman.

D Ludvig BYSTRÖM (6’0 – 187 lbs) Modo - Elitserien

29. NY Rangers: Despite getting cut from team Canada, di Giuseppe has shown signs of a future NHLer.

C Phil Di GIUSEPPE (6’1 – 201 lbs) University of Michigan - NCAA

30. Detroit: When Olli Määttä was injured at the WJC, Pokka became Finland’s most reliable defenseman. He, too, is rocking up the rankings after the event.
